ASK CLAUDE

Your positioning, in a conversation.

Connect Hedgewall to your own Claude and ask about the option chain in plain language instead of reading it off a screen. It reads the same numbers your workspace shows, and nothing else.

Two minutes, once. Then it is just there, in every conversation.

What leaves your account

Finished numbers. Not the option chain, not the strike-by-strike data underneath it, and not how any of it is calculated. There is one file on our side that decides what a connected Claude may receive, and this is it.

It can read. It cannot place an order, change a setting, or see any account but yours. You can cut it off from Settings at any time, and that takes effect on the very next question rather than whenever a session expires.

Set it up

Pick whichever one you use. Both end in the same place; the first is the one most people want.

Works in your browser, the desktop app and on your phone. The connection is on your Claude account, so setting it up once covers all three. Available on the Free, Pro, Max, Team and Enterprise plans; on Free you get one custom connector in total.

1
Open Claude's settings and find Connectors
Go to Customize, then Connectors. This is where Claude keeps the things it is allowed to talk to.
2
Add the Hedgewall address
Choose to add a custom connector and paste this in. Leave the advanced settings alone: there is no client ID or secret to enter, because Hedgewall issues its own.

3
Press Connect, and approve it on Hedgewall
Adding it puts it in the list; Connect is what signs you in. Claude sends you to a Hedgewall page showing what is being asked for. Sign in if you are not already, press Allow, and you land back in Claude.

That page is on hedgewall.in. Check the address bar, the way you would for any sign-in. Your password is entered on our site and Claude never sees it.

4
Ask it something
Start a new conversation and ask about an index. If Claude does not reach for it on its own, say “use Hedgewall” once and it will.

Try these first

NIFTY, BANKNIFTY, SENSEX, FINNIFTY and MIDCPNIFTY. Ask in your own words. These are just the shapes that work.

“How is NIFTY positioned right now?”
The regime, net gamma exposure in Cr, spot and ATM implied volatility.
“What are the key levels on BANKNIFTY?”
The gamma flip, the call wall, the put wall and the strike carrying the most gamma.
“Is my Hedgewall data working?”
Which indices have a reading, when each was captured, and whether the market is open.
“Explain what negative gamma means for today's SENSEX read.”
It reads the live figure and explains the mechanism. It will not tell you what to trade.

It describes positioning and explains what it means. It will not recommend a trade, size a position or tell you where the index is going, and asking it to will not change that.

If something is off

Claude says it cannot reach the connector.
Check the address is exactly https://api.hedgewall.in/mcp with no trailing slash. If you are on the Free plan you get one custom connector, so an existing one has to be removed first.
It connected, then stopped answering.
Two causes, and the page you need is Settings. Either the connection was removed there, which stops it on the very next question, or the subscription lapsed. Renewing starts it again on its own, with nothing to re-enter.
Claude says a reading is not available.
That is the honest answer rather than a failure: it means the numbers are not in a state we will quote. It resolves itself on the next tick. If it persists through a session, tell us.
The numbers are from the last close, not now.
Every answer carries the time it was captured and says whether the market was open. Outside market hours it describes the last completed session, and it will say so rather than speak in the present tense.

Still stuck? Tell us which Claude you are using and we will walk it with you.
